AFT_LOVER Posted March 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2010 We have always gotten cash at the casino to lose in the machines or to use as tips last night. Can we still do this on Crown? Some charge 3% of amount taken for getting it. I hope not Princess.
Toto2Kansas Posted March 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2010 If you go to the casino cage and request cash charged to your shipboard account no matter if it is to gamble with or other things, YES, you will be charged an added 3%

You didn't mention that you can send casino credits to yourself in $100 increments for no service charge. You will be given vouchers ($100 each) upon boarding. Just take them to the casino cashier and cash them in for cash. We did that on our Mediterranean cruise last fall when we knew we needed lots of cash. You send them using the form from the 'gifts' section on the Pricsess.com site (but you know that, I'm sure). MGnut
DanJ Posted March 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2010 I also got money using the player bank on the slots. Stuck my card in, followed the instructions, added a couple hundred to my player bank, went to the cage and cashed out my player bank. No service fee (unless you count the $10 I lost in the slot while I was sitting there a service fee LOL)

AFT_LOVER Posted March 23, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted March 23, 2010 The insert our GoldPointsPlus credit card, that gives us 4 points per $1 spent for VISA cards to use on cruises or anything else. Tell it we want $100 & we get it for free? Can use it more than once? We do not carry cash to be stolen, as credit cards can be closed & reissued on the ship. So we get cash from the casino on the ships. But I remember reading that Princess/actually all of Carnival Corp charges. I also got money using the player bank on the slots. All of the slots are set up to accept your cruise card and the amount is billed to your shipboard account with no fees attached, (as a purchase, not a cash advance), which you have started a slot bank on. Instructions are on every machine, so it is a very simple process. It is not limited to a one time use, but there is a limit per day you can charge to your shipboard account in the casino. If memory serves me correctly, it is $1500, and there is also a total limit per cruise. But you will NOT use your credit card for this.
