europe10 Posted March 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2010 I have a question for anyone who has taken the CELEBRITY 11 Night Eastern Mediterranean cruise before. Were the tender tickets for Santorini available only on the morning that the ship arrived in Santorini or could you line up for tender tickets on the Sea Day prior to the day that you arrived in Santorini? The 10 Night cruise has a different Port schedule so this question is specific to the 11 Night cruise. Thanks for your help.
tom_uk Posted March 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2010 We did this cruise in September/October last year. Here's what I blogged about getting Santorini tender tickets:- "Today is Santorini which meant that this morning was Santorini tender ticket queuing. Tickets were advertised as being available from 9am, but I’ve read comments on Cruise Critic about people queueing much earlier than that. So I got up at 7:30 and was in the queue at 8 o’clock, with about 20 people or so in front of me. In the event the staff arrived at 8:45 and started issuing tickets immediately – I got a pair of tickets on the first tender. By that time the queue was all the way back through the length of the casino." So the tickets were definitely only available on the morning of the visit to Santorini. Link to the blog here.
