Luv2Travelnow Posted March 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2010 I'm looking at Alaska cruises in June / July, and it seems like they are all over $1k per person on Carnival. Am I missing anything? I emailed my travel agent to ask as well. Looks like no summer crusing... :(:(
firefly333 Posted March 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2010 Your TA will be seeing the exact same rates right?? Rates are higher on Carnival, than you can go to Alaska on HAL or other cruiselines. I could do a round trip on HAL for $499, why would I book Carnival I dont know. Also, it's much less expensive to cruise Alaska at the beginning of the season (May & early June) and late season Late August September - altho I'm not sure I'd do the first cruise (or two) of the Season or the last cruise (or two) of the Season. Also, a R/T ticket to Seattle will probably be quite a bit less expensive that a Vancouver/Seattle flight. ken
