Lost on the Explorer

Has anybody ever lost anything on the ship and had it returned to them after getting home from the cruise? I was on the 2/14 sailing of the Explorer. When I returned home, I didnt unpack right away. I finally went to unpack my jewelry, which I had in a carry on, and found a piece missing. I had it in a box, wore it, and thought I returned it to the box, but it was not there. I can kick myself for not checking each piece before packing. Has anybody every submitted a claim for insurance on something like this? It was a 14K heart slider my husband had given to me the year before for Valentines Day. Lost and found called today to say it was not in the inventory of lost items for my cruise.
