Beaches with big waves

What beaches in St. Martin have the biggest waves (usually). I'll be there in May. Thanks.

It depends on the weather, but I would say that Guana Bay Beach has had the most regular Big Waves that I've noticed (with riptides), then Dawn Beach.

 

That said, the very BIGGEST waves that I've ever seen were on Mullet Bay, and they had to be 10 footers.

Thanks! Are either of these beaches easy to get to from where the cruise ships dock---specifically the Carnival Dream?

We found that Simpson Bay Beach had nice large rolling waves. They were quite big but they were gentle. On our recent visit Mullet bay had similar waves on our first trip there but on the second day we went to Mullet we found it to have a pretty strong undertow. It was actually quite difficult to get out of the water.

Kite surfing and windsurfing is popular at Le Galion. I have heard that at times people surf at Baie Prunes. I don't think it is something that you can count on though.

Dawn Beach has rough surf, but it is calm close to the beach and rough further out. I would guess that beaches on the Atlantic side are going to offer bigger waves and more wind.
