Corona Beach in Progresso?

What would your pick be if you had to choose between the Corona Beach Break or the Merida overview and shopping tour. This would be booked through Carnival.

Neither, do progresso on your own. You can get Corona for a $1 (you were 2 years ago) or 60 cents at convenient store across from beach. Beach rent a chair. Ship buss will let you off at market - good deals, not too pushy. walk to beach from shopping.

I suggest doing Merida on your own. You can get the bus about 3 blocks from the Plaza the courtesy bus drops you. $3.00 RT. Or from the plaza about $7 or 8. The terminal in Merida is only 3 blocks from the central plaza in the historic area. Merida is Mexico at it best. Not at all like Cancun or Cozumel.
