Wondering what to do?

My husband and I are planning our first cruise. We live in NE Florida and our port is in Miami. We're wondering how to get down there.

We could fly but that would cost over $600 for both of us.

We could drive the 400 miles down to Miami but then have to park our car on the POM. We could rent a one way but it's my understanding that that can be expensive.

I've looked into taking a train down but we'd have to leave the day before and spend the night at a hotel. We'd have no way of getting to the hotel or the port in the morning.

Any advice?

As far as getting to the hotel and to the port, cabs are always avaliable and is the type of transportation that many of us use.

You might look into finding a hotel that offers free parking. Drive down the day before and relax before your cruise.
