Abergris-San Pedro, Belize

I'm on the Glory in May and I'm really unsure of what to do in Belize. San Pedro looks nice but I'm uncomfortable with the transportation and time issues. Has anyone taken the water taxi and if so how long does it take to get there from Belize City? Would we have time to do this and get back to the Glory? Also, I've heard the water at the beaches is "grassy", any comments on that? Any information would be great.

we use tropic air much faster and when you get there stop in at the IT BAR for a drink a friend bought the place a few years ago can't miss the sign painted on the roof it's right next to the run way also Ramons village a resort very nice place use the pool. flying in is the fastest way to get there. A water taxi will take forever--at least an hour.The beach area where I was had grass, but I got in anyway. Nice place to visit. flying will probably be the most reliable.

Thanks for the information, you guys are great. Should we try to book a flight now do we just buy the tickets at the airport?

buy when you get there. if the weather is bad you may not want to go. cab ride to airport about 15 minutes not sure of the cost
