Rare Copper10-8 Posted April 14, 2010 #51 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Was on the Maasdam this March & received 2 tiles, one at the lunch & the other was left in my cabin. One of these I do not see on the HAL site. It is of a man with a crown, fork in one hand, & a ship in the foreground. :) Are you talking about this one? If so, that was a 2008 issue and was then removed before you could say King Neptune and replaced. Glad to see it back as a 2010 (if that's the one!) Thanks Copper. I didn't know about that link. It's great! Anytime GloBug!
traveler111 Posted April 14, 2010 #52 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Yes, that's the one but a few changes have been make. "Comfort with economy" has been removed and the background is a darker shade. It's more the color of the man. I guess the powers that be didn't like the wording. :)
jtl513 Posted April 14, 2010 #53 Share Posted April 14, 2010 It's more the color of the man. "The man" is a god - Neptune (Roman) or Poseidon (Greek) god of the sea. The Neptune Lounge on HAL ships is named for him. And the "fork" is a trident ... which Trident missiles carried on US Ohio class submarines are named for. :)
