sprockie Posted April 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Can anyone recommend a beach with nice sand, calm waters and no drastic drop offs? Looking for the best beach for our kids and Granny.
The Big Booper Posted April 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Can anyone recommend a beach with nice sand, calm waters and no drastic drop offs? Karysa Posted April 5, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2010 I would also recommend Le Galion. If you are going by taxi ask the driver to come back and pick you up at a set time.
cruiserzia Posted April 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2010 Absolutely Le Galion. We discovered it the first time when we had 2 year olds. There is a reef just outside the cove that breaks the waves, so very little water movement as well as shallow depth makes it perfect for little ones. We go there every time we are in St. Martin. Butterfly farm and horseback riding are an easy walk for anyone who wants something more. Great snack shack with chairs and umbrellas for rent. Clean bathroom. We've never had a bad day there and are never ready to leave when it is time.

sprockie Posted April 9, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Excellent, thanks. Sounds like it's exactly what I am looking for. So, cabs are scarce I gather, best to arrange for a taxi to return at a specific time? Granny can't walk too far and the kids won't be up for a half mile walk in the heat either.
