Information please re:- Hamburg transfer

Good morning.

Am on the MSC Poesia on a 2 night cruise from Dover.

 

Flying home mid afternoon from HAM airport.

 

Can anyone give my any advice regarding taxi/transfer from port to airport regarding cost/time etc and my various options.

13 km = roughly 30 minutes transit time:

 

roughly 28 EUR exkl. tips and waiting times (stopps longer than 60 seconds)...

 

maybe 30 EUR...

 

alternatively:

 

Metrobus 6 (from the front of the cruise terminal gate round the corner at the SAP Building - Walking distance 3-5 minutes) to Central Station (approx. 10 minutes)

 

and from here with the Commuter Train (S1) to the airport in about 25 minutes. Frequency every 10 minutes.

 

2.75 EUR.

Most helpful.

MSC were charging 60 Euros per person and I found that extortionate.

 

Will decide between expediance and finance when I see how much the cruise costs me but your input has been most helpful.
