RAVENZ Posted April 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2010 Has anyone stayed in this cabin before? We had an 8A (regular balcony) but due to a price drop we took an upgrade and were able to get this cabin which has an extended balcony. Now looking, it appears looking down might be with a lifeboat in the view. Anyone have any info on this? Also it said the extended balcony is 60 sq ft. It it about 10 x 6? Also this cabin sleeps 4 & they basically said that if the cabin was needed for 4 (it's only the two of us) that we might be moved but the TA told us the person at Carnival indicated there were lots of cabins for 4 available. Since we are going on the 4/25/10 sailing and kids are still in school- we thought we would take the chance. Any info would be helpful.
family cruisers Posted April 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2010 I wouldn't think it would be an issue. Most people don't stand and look straight down you look outward. Lifeboats are on deck 4 If Im correct so the view shouldn't be an issue. Pride is a great ship, have a wonderful time. We just booked again for november. trptplayer22 Posted April 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2010 We had an extended balcony last year and the only time we noticed the Lifeboats was when we looked down at them. We were on Deck 6. For the most part when we sat out on the balcony we never saw it just the sea.:)
