1st Time Cruiser: Please help!

Recommended Posts

We are on booked FOS on 5/2 (western carib) and I have a question regarding travel docs that I hope someone here can help me with. It will be mysef, DH and two children traveling. My DH is a U.S permanent resident and the rest of us are citizens. With that being said, are there any additional documents (other than his passport and green card) that he may need to enter the ports of call? Also, is there any special disembarkation procedure he has to go through upon re-entry to the US? Thanks!

My first two cruises I was a "resident alien" and I don't remember anything difficulty about getting home (I lived in the US at the time). But this was years ago, the rules have changed a lot since. But as long as your papers are in order it shouldn't be a problem. May I add that life is a lot easier once you become a US citizen? No more wondering what paperwork issues there may be, you are free to come and go. Enjoy your cruise!
