jayslea Posted April 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2010 We are on booked FOS on 5/2 (western carib) and I have a question regarding travel docs that I hope someone here can help me with. It will be mysef, DH and two children traveling. My DH is a U.S permanent resident and the rest of us are citizens. With that being said, are there any additional documents (other than his passport and green card) that he may need to enter the ports of call? Also, is there any special disembarkation procedure he has to go through upon re-entry to the US? Thanks!
Jolimont Posted April 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2010 My first two cruises I was a "resident alien" and I don't remember anything difficulty about getting home (I lived in the US at the time). But this was years ago, the rules have changed a lot since. But as long as your papers are in order it shouldn't be a problem. May I add that life is a lot easier once you become a US citizen? No more wondering what paperwork issues there may be, you are free to come and go. Enjoy your cruise!
05mak05 Posted April 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2010 I think I'd call RCI and double check. I'm fairly sure you'll be just fine and that you have the required documents but better safe than sorry.
aubie1996 Posted April 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2010 Went on the FOS in Nov with my husband who is a resident alien. All you will need is his passport and his resident alien card. It is super easy. He can disembark just like anyone else.
