This is our first cruise and I called today because I had filled out the 110% form instead of Early Saver and I didn't have time to fill it out this morning so I called on my way to work. She started the form and told me to hold she was going to check something, when she returned to the line, she had the best news ever!

:DWE WERE UPGRADED FOR $20.00 PER PERSON TO A BALCONY!!!! :D

We are coming up from an Interior room on the Riviera Deck to an obstructed balcony on the Upper Deck on Port Side!! Obstructed.......we don't care lol! I didn't tell my fellow cruisers until later today there are 3 of us, I was going to give them drink coupons as a gift, BUT I think a balcony is SO MUCH BETTER! Never in a million years did we think we would end up with this, but we don't mind the obstruction. Considering we didn't even have a window at first, and now we have a balcony!

I don't know if you would call this Upgrade Fairy but it's Upgrade LUCK thats for sure!

Congratulations and enjoy!

I too wouldn't care if the view was obstructed especially coming from an inside cabin. Have you gone to Carnival's site to check out your cabin location yet? Might not be too bad of an obstruction.

Enjoy your cruise though! :D:p

7A - I would pick one that is obstructed by a lifeboat and not a taller tender boat.

Obstructed by Lifeboat

The roof of the lifeboat is somewhat level with the balcony floor; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down.

· Port Side: 5168 5170 5172 5174 5176 5178 5180 5182 5184 5186 5188 5190 5224 5226 5228 5230 5232 5234 5236 5238

· Starboard: 5169 5171 5173 5175 5177 5179 5181 5183 5185 5187 5189 5191 5227 5229 5231 5233 5235 5237 5239 5245

Obstructed by Tender boat

The roof of the tender boat is somewhat level with the top of the balcony railing; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, the view is obstructed – if standing on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down.

· Port Side: 5142 5144 5146 5148 5150 5152 5154 5156 5158 5160 5162 5164 5166

· Starboard: 5143 5145 5147 5149 5151 5153 5155 5157 5159 5161 5163 5165 5167

My understanding we are in the red highlighted room, we will not have any problems seeing out at all, I don't mind not being able to look straight down one bit!

I do what I can! I'm the person you have to remind to enjoy time for herself because I do things for everyone else first! But not everyone appreciates it but the ones that do I enjoy their excitement :)

That's a great deal, Jaymee! Congrats! You will love the Legend...she is an awesome ship...great ports!

(Do you realize that Port side doesn't necessarily mean it faces the port? It's just the term for the left side of the ship. Which side faces the port all depends on how they dock in each port. When you board in Tampa, you will be facing away from the port. Isn't Cruise Critic wonderful...a true learning experience;):p Oh boy, I just realized I was referring to another thread you posted tonite...the people here are gonna call the men in white coats to take me away:eek:)

Hope you and your friends have a FANTASTIC time!!!

Quick question...when you called your PVP, were they going to fill out the Early Saver form for you?

I called my PVP a month ago with a price drop, and he said "they were no longer allowed to submit forms for their clients" and that I needed to do it myself. I thought this was odd. If I'm understanding you, it appears that my PVP may have lied to me!!!!

I ad told her I submitted the wrong form and she asked which one I told her the 110% she asked if I could get to a computer, I told her I was driving to work and she asked for the info for the form. Then she checked on the upgrade before we finished the form.
