NCL vs Carnival?

Since just about everything is planned and ready for our cruise next month, the only thing left to do is book our next one! :D We're doing Carnival for the first time in May since our DS is 2 and it's the only one that will change diapers. Our son will be 3 by the time we go on another one, but will possibly not be potty trained. Hoping so, but we'll see.

I'd love to do Disney, but just don't think I can justify the cost.

Anyway, anyone have any thoughts regarding NCL vs. Carnival? I know nothing about NCL. Don't know if this matters, but we would have at least a balcony room (DH thinks it's mandatory ) Granted, I won't book until after seeing what I think of our first Carnival experience, but thought I should have my ducks in a row in case they have a discounted booking if you book while on your current cruise.

Cruise would be late 2009/early 2010. I'm toying with doing it in Feb 2011 over our anniversary.

Thx
