Specialty Dining Reservations -- Table Size?

A quick search and scan didn't reveal this mystery to my Oceania-newbeeness, so my question for Oceania-veterans:

When I pre-reserve my alloted reservations in Toscana and the Polo Grill on Regatta, must I specify a table size?

If yes, and I'm now reserving only for myself and my wife, must that table size be 2?

If yes again, and we subsequently meet some folks on the ship (or in our Roll Call thread here on Cruise Critic) who want to join us, may I later up-size the table?

Thanks in advance for your help!

When you book, you will be asked how many will accompany your party. If you only request a table for two, your chances will be limited as there are not that many available. Best time is early - 6:30 to 7:00...

If you have guests, then you can have a table for four or six. However, you need to specify the names and room numbers of those accompanying you.

If you wish to dine later, then tell them that you will be a party of two, but will be happy to join another couple. That makes your chances of getting a later dining time much better - and you may get to meet new friends....

Now that I've finally been able to login to my cruise booking (see this thread), I actually got to make my dining reservations. So now I know the story.

And for those other newbies out there, here it is:

You select a restaurant to reserve, then are asked whether you want to share a table.

If you say yes, you are presented with a calendar of the cruise showing what dates the restaurant has availability, and the seating times.

If you select a date on the calendar, the seating times change, showing only the seating times available for that date. When you select one, you then are presented with the size of the table you're at, and a list of the folks (other pax, plus you) who will be at that table.

I assume that if you select a seating time before a date, the available dates will change to show only dates with availability for the chosen seating time.

I'm unsure abour what happens if you elect not to share a table. Perhaps you then choose a table size, and then available dates and seating times with that table will be shown. Or perhaps the computer assigns you a table size matching the number of pax in your cabin.

If you aren't sharing then the table size is for 2, pick dates/times, etc. same process as if you are sharing.

Re. changing size of table - you can cancel and rebook once you are on board.
