Getting a cab from Pier 91

Wondering what most do on the day of disembarkation for transportation if you are doing a post cruise stay? I have read that there are cabs available but are there enough to go around?? Do I need to reserve a cab or just go on a whim? We are staying at the Marriott Waterfront so there isn't a shuttle available

What's the least expensive mode of transportation for two from Pier 91 to the airport after the cruise? Would a cab be cheaper or should I consider booking a reserved trip with someone?

towncars are a flat rate vs a metered cab. Fare on cab should be around $50. Towncars can be $45-60. If your in town before you leave ask your hotel concierge to recommend a car and arrange before you get on the ship.
