Buying alcohol in French Quarter

Is there a state/package store in the French Quarter to buy bottles of alcohol ? Thanks in advance ! :)

There are lots of them, but they tend to be expensive.

 

The best prices are at the Rouse's grocery at 701 Royal Street.

We do not have pre se "State/package stores' where you 'have' to buy your booze.

 

It is, after all, New Orleans so it is available all over the place.

 

Try the Walgreens store on Canal Street.

In New Orleans you can buy package liquor anywhere, anytime, legally. At stores, at gas stations, bar rooms etc.

The CVS in Canal does though, all the bartenders we asked suggested Unique's (its like a grocery bodega) they had a good selection and we got a 750 of flavored Stoli for $35

Unique General Store is a popular liquor store @ 127 Royal in the first block off Canal St. Not as cheap as I would like. I think a pint of Smirnoff was something like $12 and 750ml of Johnnie Walker Black was maybe $43?

 

They do have good prices on sodas.

 

The Walgreen's on Royal @ Iberville told me about it! Interesting, since the liquor store had better prices on soft drinks than the Walgreen's. ;)

 

They accept credit cards and do have more than liquor.
