Galveston Parking At Motels????

I have sailed out of Galveston many times but have always parked in the port lots. I was thinking about leaving my car at the motel this time has any one ever done and feel safe with it? I would appreciate it if anyone has done this and if they know the cost of a taxi to the ship port. Thanks alot in advance for the info. Happy cruising everyone. Sharon

It may depend on the season, but at least with Wyndham I picked up a one-night internet rate that was the same as parking for eleven days at the port.

 

For that I was able to arrive a day early, look around Galveston, park my care in a fenced lot and get shuttled to and from the dock.

 

Do a google search on Galveston, motels, parking, cruise and you'll get some pages to checkout. I know La Quinta offers a similar deal, albeit without the shuttle.
