Can anyone tell me how much a carton of Marlboro Ultra lights would cost in Roatan. And where the best place to buy them would be?? Is there any limit per person and will bringing them on my ship be a problem.

Buy them in your duty free shop on your ship...there is a 15% tax on all tobacco products in Roatan.

On board - $48 USD for 2 cartons - $105 for 5 cartons

You are technically / legally only allowed to bring 2 cartons back through US Customs, but there seem to be a lot of sales of the 5 carton box on the last night of the cruise ;)

Yes, buy them on board. They say you can only bring two cartons through customs, but I believe that is for each person. Not sure on that point. But it is UNopened cartons. I brought four back through last trip with no problems (DH does not smoke) and the fifth carton I opened and put two packs in my purse so technically it was an opened carton.

I thought you could only bring into US 200 cigarettes which would be one carton...has it changed? I'll have to research this...cause if what you say is true...Yippee!
