I know that recently there was a thread concerning the expenses of using a cell phone while on board, but I can't find it. Does anyone know the cost of using AT& T while in Mexico? I went to their web site and I THINK it's .99/minute but not sure.

I am with verizon. They had me go to the website and there was a posting for ship shore costs. It was $2.50 per minute. Texting was .05 incoming and .50 outgoing.

if you have a blackberry w verizon, such as i do. if you change your reg data plan for the week you are gone, they will pro rate it at the 69.99 rate and you can still get unlimited data, meaning emails, and blackberry messenger.. i dont make calls when im at sea, but instead of texting i send emails or bbm's... they are free, and the 17.00 its costs me for that week to use my phone is still better than the ships internet service...
