Caribbean Pirates Extravaganza Tour

We did this excursion with our 9yr old about 3 years ago through RCCL. It was fantastic! The Brig Unicorn was used as the Black Pearl in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but looks much bigger on screen! The crew lets the kids fire the cannons. They take you to Pigeon Island where they have organized a treasure hunt. I don't recall if it is keys you had to find or slips of paper hidden all over the island. Either way, you earn a key to try to open the treasure chest on board the Unicorn. Whoevers key opens the chest gets to keep the diamond inside! Ours didn't but they did give us a bottle of St. Lucian Rum. Pigeon Island is a great place to hike the trails and sightsee. On the way back they had crab races...it was really fun! Book this tour, you won't regret it!

We also did the Pirate Tour in Jan but on the Victory, same itinerary. While we didn't have small children we did observe others and the kids seemed to be having a good time. The crew was very accomodating to the kids. There is a beach area where you can snorkel, no beach chairs and a small restaurant/bar area. We hiked up to Ft Rodney, the views were awesome. We didn't participate in the treasure hunt but helped a few along our hike looking for clues. We are in our 50's and had a great time.
