Beach and sand toys

Does anyone know if sand toys for kids are available for purchase at the ports (western caribbean)? I don't want to use valuable suitcase space for a shovel and pail etc. Thanks for your help.

Most ports have them without a doubt. Of course it depends on your specific plans in each port. Which ports are you cruising to and how old are the kids?

Thanks for your help. The kids are 2 1/2 and 3 1/2. I haven't figured out the exact plans yet (just booked a few days ago for the May 2nd sailing). Tentative options are: Roatan- Mahogany Bay or Tabyana, Grand Caymen- Seven Mile Beach or Royal Palms Beach, and in Cozumel - Playa Mia Beach. We are also going to Belize but I haven't read any good suggestions for that one yet.

 

I realize I have a lot more research to do and we are running out of time, so any input you could provide on these excursions would also be greatly appreciated. We are not in to snorkeling or swimming with stingrays, etc. We are just looking for a clean beach for the kids to play and do a little swimming. Thanks again everyone!
