Okay - this is our very first cruise! We're looking from help from all of you cruise-veterans so that we don't waste our time (and $$$) while in Bermuda. Please share with us some of your "You MUST SEE/DO..." and some "Whatever you do, DON'T...".

Best Beaches?

Excursions through NCL or once at port?

Taxi vs. Bus vs. Moped?

Historical sites?

Best Shopping?

***We greatly appreciate your letting us benefit from your experiences!*** Thanks in advance!:) D&B

Make sure you skip Fort ST. Catherine's Beach, unless you can not go the bathroom for the entire time you are there. The restrooms there were disgusting, no running water, no flushing toilets. The concession stand is over priced.

Tobacco Bay is a great snorkeling area. Clean bathrooms, affordable food and beverages. Go snorkeling beyond the bay area, behind the formations, it is really great snorkeling out there.

Crystal Caves is fun. Only need to do one cave if you want to save time. Take the Turtle Bay Catamaran Tour. Best ship shore excursion I have ever taken. So nice and relaxing!

Hop the bus, buy a bus pass for three days. Much cheaper than taxi service. Go all around the island this way. Any other questions, just let me know.

Recommend the Turtle Bay excursion if its offered. Nice crew took us on a catamaran to a quiet beach/cove to swim, float and have rum punch. It was very memorable. Good for all ages too.

Loved Horseshoe Bay. Took a cab there from teh dockyards about $20 each way. Great place fro teh kids to swim, and has all the amenities- chairs, umbrellas, food. If you take a stroll in either direction you will find quieter coves which are very beautiful.

Best shopping- Hamilton.

Carriage ride in Hamilton was good, but I heard the St Georges carriage ride is more scenic. But you had to do the St George's carriage ride through the excursiion desk, couldn't do it on your own it was fully booked by the ship.

Dockyards- the last morning we went there for 2-3 hours before leaving Bermuda(we were docked at the dockyards),which was a fun place to swim and relax. This was a good choice since there wasn't much time to go elsewhere that morning.
