Leftover OBC on Back-to-Back question

So, let's say you're on the final night of the first of back-to-back cruises; you have some leftover credit on your sail and sign card, so they put the Carnival cheque into your cabin "mailbox". The next day, you get to "stay on the ship" for the 2nd cruise. Can you use that cheque towards your account for the second cruise?

I asked this exact same question a couple months back, as we leave on a B2B next week, and I believe the answer was yes you can deposit it at the purser..
