whiskers9 Posted April 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2010 Can someone give me information on the shopping situation on a Sunday. Oceania is listing in their excursion pages that only souvenier shops are open on Sunday. When I check Rick Steves info it sounds like stores are closed on Wednesday. Any information will be appreciated - thanks! Patty

Rare John Bull Posted April 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2010 I've been there quite frequently on a sunday. The centre of Bruges doesn't really have "stores" - those that there are, tend to be closed on a sunday but they don't really sell stuff that the visitor would want. The centre is almost entirely smaller independent shops, & they are mainly open - again some, such as bicycle shops or stationers, aren't open but it is unlikely to make any difference to you. Lace, chocolate, general gifts, tabacs, cafes, bars, restaurants etc etc etc are open & busy on a sunday. John Bull
