CAdreamin' Posted January 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2005 We've been on Norwegian and Princess before, but never RC. I've read some positive, but mostly negative, reviews of the dining room food on the Voyager. I'm somewhat reluctant to book this cruise, but a big part of me wants to give it a try for everything else this ship has to offer. I'm aware that there is 1st and 2nd seating and that we may not get a table for 2, as with the other cruises we've been on. Can someone tell me if they've been on Norwegian Sun and Dawn and/or Grand Princess, how they'd compare the food and service on Voyager? Also, is there sushi on the Voyager? How many midnight buffets do they have? If anyone has ordered room service, is it a partial menu from the dining room, or a full menu? When is room service offered, is it 24 hours? Anything info on this cruise would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance. Happy cruising, CADreamin'
Rubia_Boricua_PR Posted January 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2005 You know, one thing i have learned from this boards is that i am not booking my cruises because of what i have read here but about what i have found out that i like about it. Remember that not everyone feels the same way about things, some people are very picky and tend to critize everything even if it may be the opposite to you or that you are the kind of person that not everything bothers you. I would say that you go on with your plans and just learn from others good experiences since every week can be different from the one before for who knows what reason. Here you got some other options. Read these kinds: http://www.cruisecritic.com/reviews/review.cfm?ShipID=105 http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/getreviews.cfm?action=ship&ShipID=105 http://www.cruisereviews.com/RoyalCaribbean/VoyageroftheSeas.htm http://www.yahoovacationstore.com/reviews/readreviews.asp?type=C&vessel_id=237&.l=N&.gt=Hello,+Guest Or just don't read them and go ahead and book like i did and enjoy your vacations. CAdreamin' Posted January 29, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Thanks, Rubia! I realize that all cruise experiences are different, and not everyone has the same opinions. We've been on 3 cruises in total, and we always manage to have a great time. We may just take your suggestion and book it! Thanks again.
megr1125 Posted January 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2005 I was on AOS and they only have about a dozen tables for 2 so I wouldn't get my hopes up.......as for sushi, I don't eat it, so I forget. (I think they had it on the buffet) I recall at least 1 midnight buffet...... RCL was our first cruise so I obviously have nothing except other's opinions. BUT, I am a firm believer that if you keep an open mind, ANY cruise is better than no cruise and you will not starve nor will you be miserable for an entire week! Give it a shot. I hear this is a nice alternative to flying. Even though I live in Jersey I haven't tried Cape Liberty, but if I could coordinate time off & a decent price I would try it. Hope that helps....hopefully someone with more Voyager info will post.
