Hi, we are trying to decide, since we only have one day to see Seattle before the cruise and 1/2 day after the cruise, if by doing both tours (Ride the Ducks of Seattle and the pre & post cruise tour with Tours North West) we will be repeating the same attractions. I wanted to do the duck tour on Friday 5/14 and the Tours North West on 5/22. The tours North West is a 3 hour tour of Seattle and it shows you:

 •
Pike Place Market

Olympic & Cascade mountain views

Seattle waterfront

Historic Pioneer Square

Waterfall Garden Park

Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park

Safeco & Qwest stadiums

Chinatown

Lake Washington

I-90 Floating Bridge

Mercer Island

Puget Sound views

Panoramic Seattle city views

Fremont neighborhood & Troll

Lake Union & Ship Canal

Fishermen's Terminal

Ballard Locks/salmon ladder

Discovery Park

Scenic Magnolia bluff

Space Needle
 • Seattle Center & E.M.P.

Is it worth it to do both? The duck tour does not mention the places that are seen on land. We are renting a car for 5/14 to see Pike Place Market, the Waterfront area, Space Needle, Pioneer Square, and the duck tour. We are staying in the University disctrict.

Thank you in advance for any response!!!:)

personally I wouldn't do both. The tour NW is a smaller van tour where you stop and get out and see things and take pix. The duck tour stays only in the downtown area and frankly never stops and isn't the best if your trying to take pix. Its hokey and corny and entertaining but not as good for serious sightseeing. The other tour will take you to the top of Queen Anne Hill to take some nice pix and to the locks where you see the fish ladder etc. Its very interesting.

Personally I'd skip the car rental and just take the bus into downtown for your free day. Its easy to do and once your downtown the buses are free.
