daryleann Posted May 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2010 We are on a cruise end of Oct, so our ports in Italy are all in Nov. At this time of year would it still be necessary to have vouchers for the Rome, Venice, Pisa sites? Are these prepaid admissions or just 'queue avoiders'? (someone said they weren't charged for their St Mark's voucher) Thanks for any info on this subject.

Re: Venice - I read on the St Mark's booking site that you can only reserve a time for St Mark's from April to October. Entry to St Mark's Basilica is free. They say on the web site that they charge 1 Euro for a reserved time "queue avoider", but they are not charging at the time of booking, so we're just waiting for reports from those with vouchers returning from very recent cruises to see if they had to pay 1 Euro at the entrance. Hopefully someone else will respond for Rome, Pisa
