Question about carrying sea pass cards

Recommended Posts

We are doing our first cruise this Saturday and I am wondering if all of the experienced cruisers have ideas for carrying sea pass cards. Also wondering if kids carry their own cards and how. Our boys are 8 & 10. Will they need the cards with them at all times? How do we prevent them from losing them?

Thanks for any ideas!

Kids carry their own, up to you if the "charge" function is turned on. Best thing we found is to put them on a lanyard for our kids. They sell these on board for 5-10 bucks or you can bring your own. I bought soft fabric ones at our local 5 Below (like the dollar store) and they had a clip at the bottom. Once we got our sea pass cards we went to the customer service desk and they punched a hole in the sea pass cards so we would just clip them right on. We saw others do this and they told us about the "punching" service. This worked for us, saw lots of folks with the lanyards that have little envelopes at the end to slide them in but I was afraid the cards might slip out.

I Am not sure about on Oasis, but on Freedom when we registered the kids for Adventure Ocean they were given lanyards for their sea pass cards.

My daughter got a lanyard when we signed her up for Adventure Ocean on the Monarch in October.

I saw lots of kids and adults with the lanyards for the sea pass card on the Oasis in March. In the past, we brought the coil wrist key chains and had the front desk hole punch the sea pass cards. We had many people ask us if they were for sale any where. I think I picked them up at the dollar store or Walmart. They were pretty handy. I even used one. I found it made it easier to find my sea pass card in my pool bag and if I needed to run back to the room quickly I could just slide it on my wrist.
