Amber F Posted May 5, 2010 #52 Share Posted May 5, 2010 I asked the bartender when she made it but I cant remember now what she said. I should have written it down. This looks like it might be it - I googled it. 1 splash(es) Orange Juice - (more) 1 splash(es) Pineapple Juice - (more) 1/4 oz. Bacardi 151 Proof Rum - (more) 1/4 oz. Bacardi Dark Rum - (more) 1/4 oz. Bacardi White Rum - (more) 1/4 oz. Triple Sec - (more) This receipe sounds like a hurricane minus the splash of grenadine. Eeyoregon Posted May 5, 2010 #53 Share Posted May 5, 2010 After lunch we went to check out the rooms. Both parents were mad because we had the extra long balcony(LOL). We were in room 5236, My parents in 5230, and his parents in 5239. Our room - notice how the first thing hubby does is jump on the bed. Balcony We went back up on Lido for awhile and then DH and I went back to the room, unpacked, and watched sail away from our balcony. Bye Tampa! OMG! The photo of your balcony got me sooooooo excited...I have the extra long one on deck 6 in October and can't wait!! Gina

She said the blue was mainly for the color and the orange taste.
habby Posted May 5, 2010 #56 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks, very nice review, really enjoyed it. Is it me or the Legend design looks nicer than other Carnival ships? DH and I both agree that the Legend is the most elegant ship we've been on. There's so much detail everywhere you go. However, we prefer the layout of the Conquest/Triumph class lido decks with the stadium seating.
DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #57 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Day 4 - Cozumel Woke up, had Lido breakfast. We wanted to go to the MDR for breakfast one morning but we never made it there. We really liked the Omelet Station. There was a line but really it went fast. View from our balcony Please sun come out!! After breakfast we got off the ship and went to the taxi area. Paid $30 for the 6 of us to go to Nachi Cocom. Heres my mom scared of the driving LOL - I didnt think she was as bad as our Taxi driver in Florida! It was overcast today and we were hoping the rain would stay away. We got our pic taken with big sombraros and we were in. Our waiter set us up with chairs and got our drink order. No sooner did he bring us the drinks and it started raining. We werent going to let the rain ruin our day. It stopped maybe 20 minutes after that (honestly Im not sure as my DH will tell you I have no concept of time so that might be wrong) Once the rain stopped DH and I got in the pool and the hot tub for awhile. Some pics of Nachi

It was good though, we had chips and salsa, chicken sandwich, burgers, guacamole, buffalo wings, and nachos. After lunch more hanging out on the beach and then it was time to go. We had our waiter call us a cab and he was there in 2 minutes. Took us back to the port and this time the charge was $32. Oh well. Did a little shopping got DH a bottle of Yager and myself 2 pairs of earrings. Heres some pics from the port area

amcjeep4life Posted May 5, 2010 #63 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Man, I'm so jealous! We went to Nachi in October with a group of 14 that met here on the roll call board. Your pics make me remember how much fun we had, and make me want to go back REALLY BAD!!! :p Sounds like you guys had a great cruise. Can't wait to read the rest, but I guess you can feed your hungry hubby first. Although if you could just let him know he's interfering with my reading of your review, I'd appreciate it! :D

DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #65 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Today my parents, DH, and I had booked a driver with Victor Bodden. When we were ready to get off we walked through the shops and up a hill to a man holding a sign Bodden Tours. Now, when I booked this Victor told me that there was a hill involved to climb up, I didn’t realize how big this hill was. Looking back now I wish I would have taken a picture because I keep harassing hubby about it. LOL. Sidenote- We had just bought him new sneakers and he got a blister on his pinky toe from them, he was crabby about it all week up until now and when he had to walk up the hill he was even more crabby. Not to mention we are all very out of shape and my mom has asthma and left her inhaler at home. Anyways so once we made it up the hill they were all a little pissy with me for making them do this. We met our driver Andrew. He was awesome. We really liked him and his tour made up for me making them walk the hill of doom. We didn’t really have any place special we wanted to go so we just told him to take us around. He asked if we wanted to stop at the Iguana Farm so we said ok. He gave us these huge leaves to feed them with. It was gross but fun at the same time. Then he took us down to see the turtles and fish. On the way back up he picked some berries and gave them to my mom so she could feed the monkeys. I wasn’t going to do it so she did. He asked us if we wanted to go see the monkeys at Victors but we were all a little chicken so we decided against it. DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #67 Share Posted May 5, 2010 A few more He took us to Infinity Bay to see the beach and let us use the bathroom. This place was beautiful, if I could Id go back and stay there for a few days. Loved it. We all really enjoyed this tour and we would recommend Andrew to anyone. Infinity Bay He dropped us back off at the port and we did a little shopping and got back on the ship for lunch.
DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #68 Share Posted May 5, 2010 I should mention this- my dad had noticed a crack in his dentures before we left, he called the dentist and they said they would need his teeth for 8 hours to fix it. Well, my dad was working until the day we left so he didn’t bring them to get fixed and decided he would do it as soon as we got back. Well at lunch today his dentures broke in half. My mom asked one of the ladies on Lido deck if she could get super glue somewhere to fix the teeth. They told us to go to the infirmary to see if they could fix it. Well, the people in the infirmary had no idea what to do so she called some worker and had him send down some superglue. My dad fixed his teeth and left. I think we showered and took a nap after that. Woke up for dinner. I had the Farfelle with Turkey for starter and beef stroganoff, Mom had Lamb, Dad had Chicken and fries, DH had the fish (I think it was snapper but I could be wrong) Tiramisu for dessert! DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #69 Share Posted May 5, 2010 My MIL dancing to the conga line music Tiramisu During dinner dads dentures broke again. I told them to try Guest Service desk for glue instead of going back to the infirmary. We went and the poor lady behind the desk looked shocked that we needed to glue his teeth back together but it worked… for now. During the next couple days this would happen on and off and we would just go back to the desk and get the glue and fix the teeth. Always something. After dinner more of the same, just hanging out talking with some drinks. DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #70 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Day 6 - Belize Today my DH, myself, and my parents had a Carnival excursion – Belize City Tour. Originally we had planned to do Major Tom Cave Tubing but decided against it and booked a city tour. It was okay. They took us around the city, to a cathedral, and a muesum. Thankfully I had cancelled Major Tom though because between Mom and her asthma with no inhaler and Hubby with his blistered toe they would have killed me with that walk through the rainforest. DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #73 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Back on the ship for lunch. I had noticed these cute funnel drink cups and wanted one so I asked for one, the bar tender said yesterdays special or todays. I didn’t think Id like the one for today so I said yesterdays. As hes mixing things together he says I hope you like it strong. I said yeah sure, what do I know. I get it and I don’t think there was any mix to it at all, it was pure alcohol of some kind. I couldn’t drink it, I ended up dumping it out but at least I got the cute cup. Finally a good pic of my inlaws! From the balcony

DanaMarie Posted May 5, 2010 Author #75 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Wine - I did bring 2 bottles of wine with me. I had them in my carry on and nobody said anything. My MIL also brought a bottle and gave it to us on our anniversary. Nothing was said to her either. Flat Iron Steak Shrimp Dish Chateaubriand Baked Alaska - my second one! The first one I got I ate and forgot to take a pic so I asked for a second one so I could get the pic.
