travlingrlclt Posted May 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2010 We have a child who just turned 3. He is too big for the cribs (which we used last year on our cruise) and too small to do the upper pull down beds. Do they have roll aways? Can they be used in any room? I'm about to book a trip on this boat and wondering what type of room we need.
firefly333 Posted May 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Yes, they have rollaways. If you book a cabin with a upper bunk, not one that has two beds, the rollaways will go first to those cabins that need the extra bed. You cant ask for one until you get onboard, and will only get one if its extra. You might try and book a cabin that allows rollaways in a two twin bed cabin. The TA or PVP can see, which cabins are marked RAB (rollaway bed) and know which ones allow it.
Lady_Jag Posted May 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Also, if you are unable to get a rollaway, just take the mattress off the bunk and place it on the floor. Another option is to let your 3-year-old sleep with you in the "big" bed. Have a great cruise!
obx_fintoo Posted May 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2010 We always stay in a 6A and get them to put a mattress on the floor made up for DD. We have done this since she was 3. At that time, we put extra pillows around to keep her in place but now (age 6) she does ok without them, but she moves around WAY too much for the pull down bunk! And although you didn't ask, we have been very happy with Camp Carnival on the Fascination. Hope you and your little one enjoy the cruise!:)
