This is the English version of The Greek daily " The Daily", in Athens.

This version is unfortunately very limited and its is only updated once a day.

The info very general in nature and is very limited/incomplete more often than not, unlike the Greek version which is very good.

Its a good site to get a very - very general idea about whats going on there. Its an ok site ,don't get me wrong .

There are also a couple more sites like that ( limited also)

1: http://www.ert.gr/en/ which is the national, goverment owned radio and television station.

2: http://www.ana-mpa.gr/anaweb/ which is the Atnens news agency/Macedonian press agency (ANA) english page.

ANA gets updated more often but still limited ,as they all are, compared to their Greek language version.

Good and accurate info though,on all 3 sites, just not up to date some times.

Since we are on the subject there is a GREAT weekly newspaper in Athens.

Its called ATHENS PLUS,and can be found at the site Choinski provided.

Very nice info in PDF format about Athens ( reads just like the real thing), and has a great travel section usually located towards the end.

The easy link to this week's copy is :

http://www.ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w_articles_columns_1_03/05/2010_116841

The current version is always found by clicking on the "Athens plus" icon at the start of the main text on that page.

If you scroll down you will see all the links (icons) for issues going back to 2008.

The new issue is out every Friday. This is a site where a visitor can get great ideas,

and local reviews for places to visit and detailed info of whats going on in town.

At the very end there is a very good synopsis of Ferry schedules, metro and other mass transit info,

along with tourist attractions opening hours and other telephone info.
