CocoaMom Posted May 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2010 We're sailing on the Valor and have booked directly with a private vendor in Belize. What is the process for getting onto an early tender if you're not booked on a carnival excursion (not a platinum member either)? I've been told conflicting info. Told to arrive very early in lounge for a number and we shouldn't have a problem, others have said carnival excursion / platinum members go first. TexasAlexus Posted May 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Hi there. When are you sailing on the Valor? We will be on that ship June 6th. I think the answer to you questions is both. They do give priority tender tickets out to guests who have booked shore excursions through the cruise line, but it also true that if you get there early you will be able to get a tender ticket that will allow you to get off the ship early too. It will be after the others, but still early. They have the tender process down and they move an amazing amount of people off those ships in a very short period of time. Most of the people who are doing things on there own, don't attempt to rush off the ship as early as those who are on the cruiseline excursions so you will find the competition light. I recommend e-mailing your private tour company about your time concerns, but they do this all the time and are very aware of the ships arrival and when they can expect to see their scheduled guests emerge from the ship. Good luck.
CocoaMom Posted May 6, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted May 6, 2010 We're sailing June 20th. I'm guessing at some point on board I'll learn the specifics of just how early to be there. I have emailed the tour co, he's well aware I'm seeking to get off the ship asap. Thanks for the info!
bobnfl Posted May 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2010 We just got back from there and on the Legend and had a private tour guide. had to get a ticket to get on the tender, no problems, don't forget they is a time difference from the ship time and Belize time so you should have plenty of time. the venders know what time your ship gets in and will meet you there. Have fun Bobnfl
