oil spill!!

Has anyone heard of any cancellations or delays yet connected to the ongoing devastating oil spill in the Gulf? This is our first post and first cruise. Leaving Tampa July 11 on Carnival for western Carribean.

My guess is that it should be fine. The Carnival Triumph docks here in New Orleans, it has recently made a return, went out for another, then returning again tomorrow for another 7 day. They haven't halted any cruise traffic in and out of the MS River since then even with the spill/leak so close.

I dont think you have any worries. Its quiet a long way to Cozumel , which would be the last destination area, so you should be fine.
