Monte Carlo/Monaco from Cannes?

Hi,

Any chance of getting to Monte Carlo/Monaco in a day from Cannes without taking a ship excursion? I assume the train would be the most viable option but is it expensive and would the times coincide etc?

We just posted an answer to the same question on another thread (below). You can walk from the Cannes tender pier to the train station (its about 1 mile) which gives you a nice walk through Cannes. There are trains running to Monte Carlo about twice an hour and its about an hour each way.
