We just booked Nieuw Amsterdam

Hello CC friends. We just completed our booking last night for the March 27, 2011 sailing of the Nieuw Amsterdam, Western Caribbean. It was a bit dicey as we had our hearts set on connecting VEs (family of 5 here), and all but two pairs (VD and VE) had been snatched by Sunday, so we were able to make our reservation and get the cabins we preferred. We'd have booked sooner, but were putting our flight arrangements together. I'll be moving over to the Roll Call as well--it's been a long time since I created the roll call for our 2009 cruise--I don't recall, do we have to specifically sign-up for it, or do we just start by joining the discussion? In any event, it will now be fun to lurk around these boards with the realization that we DO have a reason, and are not just living vicariously.

That is great that you all have booked the newest ship Nieuw Amsterdam. If she is anything like the Eurodam (which we love) she should be a great ship.

Don't forget to try the Tamarind.

Thanks for the welcome back. Yep, it's pretty quiet over on the roll call, but the sailings on the bookends of our cruise are pretty active. Last year we enjoyed the Pinnacle Grill. Hmm, maybe we'll have to do that AND Tamarind.
