Sports Bar on Gem?

Okay it may seem silly to you since we are going on an Adriatic cruise, but DH and I are big sports fans and both hockey and basketball playoffs are on right now.

 

Is there a sports bar on the Gem where we can watch games?

We have cruised on the Gem twice and frequented most (ok, all) of the bars, we never noticed a 'Sports Bar' onboard. Having said that, we are not sports fans and would therefore not be looking out for this type of entertainment so I am open to correction. I think once you're onboard you'll find that you are so busy with the port-intensive itinerary you won't have time to think about what you are missing. Enjoy your cruise :)

Last March, 2009, the final 5 games were going on and they had them all televised in the Spinaker Lounge. The Spinaker has a bunch of TV's set up behind the bar and along side it. It became one big sports bar. Plus two colleges were on board and that made it even more fun !

When I sailed on the Jade in 2008, they showed the Euro 2008 matches at some of the bars

deck 7 aft is what I would consider the "sports bar" on the Gem in addition to the bowling alleys there are about 12 tv monitors in the bar. Its also a nice place to read and rest in off hours.Barb:D

No sports bar, but plenty of TV's in lounges where sports will be broadcast. Possibly even on the big screen in the atrium...

NCL released a statement saying that World Cup matches will be shown in multiple areas on all its European based ships so I would imagine there will be places to watch sports even though there is no sports bar.
