AdventureMom22 Posted May 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2010 Sailing on Carnival in June, going to Key West & Nassau. Thinking about booking thru the ship for Key West and going to Blue Lagoon (snorkel off of beach) in Nassau. We have an adventurous 10 yo, and a not-so-adventurous 8 yo. Neither have snorkeled in open water, but love to do it in the pool! :D Thanks!

There is a $2.50 admission charge and it's about 6 blocks from the docks. Walk up Whitehead to IIRC Southard and make a right. They also rent equipment, chairs, sell drinks and snacks, etc, but the knock on this is that the bottom is rocky and that you should use sea shoes. http://www.fortzacharytaylor.com/ If you would rather try a pool, there is one at Dante's http://www.dantes-keywest.com/ You can use the pool as long as you buy a drink or somethinig to eat. It's not a very deep pool but it would be good for the children. It's about a 15 minute walk from the docks at the Key West Bight, just beyond the Half Shell oyster bar. They have a pretty good raw bar at Dante's and live music some afternoons. Pjk
