Stockholm on Sunday

Recommended Posts

Hi,

The Star Princess will be docked at Stadsgarden from 10am to 5pm. We want to go to the VASA first, then the old town. We also want to check out some of the art in the subways.

What is the best way to get from the ship to VASA from Stadsgarden and on Sunday, June 13, (when schedules may be different than through the week)?

Also, will most places in the old town be open?

We were in Stockholm on a sunday and everything, everything was open.

There were a couple small shops closed and most were only open till 5pm but thats fits your schedule.

I think the shopkeepers take advantage of the cruise season to make what they can and with cruise ships in town- they are open.

Can't help on the vasa- we hopped on the hoho boat right off the ship to get to Vasa.

Certain buses do not run on Sunday (#76) and the Changing of the Guard Ceremony is an hour later, 1:15 or so. As for places being open, I would say most places are open, especially when they know ships will be in.

Cheers

Len
