question about tour time and return to ship

We are sailing Carnival Inspiration which arrives at 8:00 and leaves at 3:00. I understand that GC time is one hour earlier. We are looking into an excrusion that leaves at 11:15 and returns at 1:30. That puts us at 2:30 ship time, is that too close?

Usually you have to be back on the ship 30 minutes before the ship leaves port. In addition you need to know for sure whether or not you will be docked in port or on a tender where the last tender might stop running before 2:30 PM. See if Carnival can

advise you on this.

The other thing is if you are looking at a private excursion you have the added risk that unlike a ships tour if the private excursion gets you back late the ship will not wait for you.
