Exterior Decks on Mercury Slippery?

Can anyone with experience cruising on the Mercury to Alaska tell me if the exterior decks get slippery from all the rain? Would a person with mobility problems want to avoid going out on deck. Some cruise lines (HAL) have teak decking which I assume gets slippery but have only had cruising experience in warm locales. Thanks!

Outdoor decks get slippery even when it doesn't rain. And yes, if someone has a mobility problem, I would exercise great caution on the decks at all times. When we were cruising on Solstice, and it was very hot, the decks got slippery all the time. Doesn't have to be Alaska to experience slippery decks.

Deck 6 on the Mercury is covered and goes a long way along each side. Easy to get from one side of the ship to the other.

Aft, you can get outside on deck 8 or 9 and have nice viewing areas.

Happy Sails to You
