Self Assist

We will be on the June 9th sailing of Elation out of Mobile. There will be 16 of us in the group including 5 children (7 - 9 years old) and an infant. Does anyone have an advice, recommendation, or tricks for self assist during disembarkation?

We had full inspection, the saturday before last and we stood in line for 2 hours. My sister is HC, so it was a long 2 hours!!!

 

Get there early and get in line. We try and be there at least 20 to 30 minutes before the first time, but purser's desk goofed on my wake up call which never came at 6 am. Luckily I was awake and went to the bathroom to see the time on my watch. Had already packed my lighted clock by then.

 

Its the luck of the draw if you ask me. I had a even worse self disembarkation on Ecstasy, when we hit the pier and they ignored self embarkation to get wheelchairs going on my deck. We were not allowed in the elevators.

 

its a free for all ....if you really need to get going, just cross your fingers and get in line early. Iv never seen a organized self disembarkation on any of my Carnival cruises. They have all been a free for all. No matter which port. Its one thing Carnival could work on, but it is what it is ...just try and not get upset ...
