Bargains on Watches in St Thomas?

Hi folks,

 

My cruise ship calls on San Jaun and I'm in the market for a new watch. I'm a pilot, so I'm partial to Breitling and curious where the bargains may be on watches? A co-worker told me there is a shop in Old San Jaun that has some great prices on Rolexs, Breitling, etc... Anyone aware of such a place?

 

Is St Thomas a better option for watch shopping? If so, any place in particular?

I don't think you fill find thave San Juan's prices are as competitive as you will find in St. Thomas. There are tons of stores in St. Thomas that sell every possible brand of watch - Breitling included. Problem is you have to go to more than one store to get a sampling of prices. Cash is also king - so if you're paying with a traveller's check or good old green backs you will also get a better price (you have to ask if they can "do better" if you pay with cash). It's the old game of cat and mouse, but if you play it right you could save some money.
