New to NCL: Balcony Gty. on the Sun

We have a deposit on the 12 night transatlantic NCL Sun cruise in October this year. We booked a BE gty as it was a deal through a TA group space with $225 OBC.

 

Our final payment is not due till the middle of July and currently this cruise is only showing category BA for balconies ar over $500 per person over what we paid.

 

After final payment when can we expect to be assigned a cabin as a general rule? Since there are only 4 BE cabins and only 8 BD cabins I would expect to get bumped up a few levels based on availabilty. I understand once final payment time comes some TAs might give back cabins so there might be more for them to assign for folks with gtys.

 

Funny thing is this cruise was showing not available for about 10 days a few weeks ago as NCL told me they were overbooked at the time?

 

Any info on past experience is appreciated.

...or, NCL may upsell those in the lower categories to higher categories, thereby deriving some revenue and freeing up a lower category cabin for you. You just can't tell in advance.
