1time Posted May 31, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2010 I have read about an improv class and a backstage tour for the theatre - I am hoping to do any or all of these type of activities with my 9 year old daughter. If anyone could let me know what other interesting things of a similar nature they did and when I would appreciate it.
RBKL Posted May 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2010 We did a backstage tour with the cast of Harispray and the dance lead from Come Fly with me. FIrst they answered questions and then we had a on-your-own tour of the backstage. The cast stayed around for pictures, autographs and questions, My 11 year old daughter liked it. We also did a cup cake decorating class. It was a lot of fun but you must sign up quickly since classes are limited. If you don't get on a list show up anyway in case there is a no-show. RBKL Posted May 31, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2010 At the Cupcake place. It is open at boarding. Just a few kids classes and a couple of adult classes with 8 people in each.
callaghan0416 Posted May 31, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2010 How much was the cupcake class? callie
RBKL Posted May 31, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2010 $17.50 per person. It was worth it and fun. You get the cupcake and either an apron, t-shirt or chef's hat. Kids can do the adult class as long as they are safe with knives. We made a big mac and fries cupcake.

PantherFan Posted August 8, 2010 #10 Share Posted August 8, 2010 I believe the backstage tours are invitation only. That is the only way I have seen them offered so far. I think it was for Suite and Diamond+
