mcdlady Posted June 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Can you use the computers on the POA without charge if you aren't using the internet? I just want to download pictures to a thumbdrive a couple of times during the trip. I didn't want to lug a laptop just for that.
J&RLOVESTOCRUISE Posted June 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2010 You may be able to do that in the photo lab????
CruisingGoddess Posted June 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2010 From my experience using computers on other ships, you will not have access to the computer's USB slots. They lock all that stuff down to prevent tampering and viruses. You can only browse the internet from what I recall. If you want to download photos, you should bring your own laptop or netbook. Or just buy extra memory cards so you don't need to download the photos. We are bringing our netbook for this very purpose. We've never used our netbook on a cruise other than for backing up photos! If we want to use the internet, we use the ship's computers because the wireless connection in the rooms are generally horrible.
