AOS cruise from Malaga Nov 2010 - flight help

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am thinking of booking this short 5 night cruise.

I am looking for thoughts on booking airfare with Royal or not.

They only have flights for our area from Heathrow, which is 80-100 mins away and for the two of us it is £490 for the flights alone.

I have checked online on another 'easy' airline and the flights come is at under £200 for the two of us and go from Gatwick which is 20 mins up the road.

With all the volcano issues recently would I be stupid not booking the whole package with Royal?

Also if I did fly out independantly, there is a 6.55am flight on the day of embarkation which arrives in Malaga at 10.45am (local time)

Would I be daft (polite replies only ) taking this one, would it be better to fly out the day before and stay over in Malaga?

Also how far is Malaga airport from the port?

Any thoughts would be helpful,

Thanks in advance :p

Book your flights seperate, Fly out the night before. We flew out the night before last year and stayed in the ac hotel across from the port. Hotel was basic, and not expensive. Airport to hotel is about 20 mins and cost €20.00. Hope this helps.
