More or less I'm afraid. There appears to be a stock of about 3 standard emails which all say roughly the same thing, there are issues, but we're 'trying' to put things right. I can't get them to answer any specific questions and I've emailed about 5 times now :(

I've just called Thomson's, they believe everything will be resolved in a week!!!! There are clearly lots of engineers etc on board, so hopefully within a couple of weeks, good reviews will start appearing. Let's hope so!!

I would be surprised if people received anything other than a standard reply. Thomson are clearly aware there are issues and it is reasonable to assume they are trying to put them right. Even if the issues are a lot worse than they originally thought, it is unlikely that they will say otherwise.

Just spoken to thomsons about our cruise and the e-mail i sent regarding my concerns after reading the forums and reveiws on this site and others ,they did not even bother to answer my latest e-mail from the 31/05 until i asked.

Here is the e-mail i sent

Dear Sir/Madam

I am still concerned about the conditions on board the Thomson Dream or what it is referred to commonly on the forum sites as Nightmare.

The forum sites are still saying that their are still problems that i outlined in my previous e-mail.

Please can you confirm that i will not encounter any of the problems that i raised.

The latest review has it that staff and holiday makers are being taken ill.

Still problems with leaking pipes ( buckets every where)

Blocked and overflowing toilets, public toilets not in use

A/C Still not working properly

To be honest the reviews are NOT GETTING ANY BETTER.

At the time of booking i choose this ship because it was supposed to be the Thomson flag ship and also new to the Thomson fleet.

I am now concerned that i may have made a mistake with being loyal to the Thomson brand.

You will be aware that you contacted my wife and not myself before, please could you contact me on mob or after 6pm on so as to go through the issues i have raised as i do not want my holiday spoilt.

After speaking to a person from thomsons all i got was a standard letter ,they would not commit themselves to a letter iasked for to confirm all the issues i have raised would be sorted by the 6th july.

I was told i could transfer for £50 pp to a different ship and another date. this is NOT really an option.

I asked for a full refund after they could NOT confirm everything would be OK for when we sailed they could NOT even do that.

Having sailed on the spirit, destiny, emerald i feel totally let down by thomsons.

This was are silver wedding anniversary present to ourselves having being made redundant 18 months ago and doing various agency work to pay for the cruise i feel totaly let down.

Just started in a full time job this week that is why changing is not an option.

I've changed from Dream to Spirit for this year now, and from Spirit(same itinery as this year) to Destiny(covering more or less Dreams itinery) for next year, this has cost me in total an additional £700+.

Thomson and Cruise deals if you're reading this YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!

I have just received this at an end to an email from Thomson offering vouchers as compensation for the poor experience that I had on a cruise on Dream:

"We like to offer holiday vouchers as we would like to give our customers another chance to go on holiday with us and to show them we can provide all round great service."

What planet are they on????

:(
